Social Tenants Access to Information Requirement Scheme (STAIRS)

Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs)

STAIRs is a new transparency framework for social housing tenants in England. It is designed to make it easier for YMCA Blackburn tenants to understand how their homes and housing services are managed and to hold us to account.

Under STAIRs, we will publish key information about areas such as our governance and decision-making, housing services, policies, performance, spending, repairs, health and safety, and complaints. From 1 April 2027, tenants will also be able to make a written request for relevant information that is not already available, and we will normally respond within 30 calendar days.

We are committed to making this information clear and accessible. Some information may need to be withheld or redacted where disclosure would conflict with data protection, confidentiality, safeguarding or other legal requirements.
